The calculators are indicative

The deposit, loan and investment calculators implement the conventions used by Indian banks and fund houses: quarterly compounding over completed quarters with simple interest on the residual period, reducing-balance EMI, and monthly SIP treated as an annuity due. These are the right methods, and we test them against known figures — but an indicative result is not a quotation.

Your bank’s own computation governs. Institutions differ in ways no calculator can know in advance:

  • Where in the calculation they round, and to how many places.
  • Whether they use 365 or 366 days uniformly, regardless of leap years.
  • How they treat a tenure that ends on a non-business day.
  • Whether the advertised rate is the one that actually applies to your amount, tenure and customer category.
  • Penalties, fees and premature-withdrawal terms, none of which are modelled here.

Expect small differences — typically a few rupees on a lakh. A large difference usually means an input does not match the contract, and it is worth finding out which one before you commit.

Not investment advice

The SIP calculator projects a compound-growth scenario from a return you choose. That number is an assumption, not a forecast. Markets do not deliver a constant annual return, past performance does not indicate future results, and the value of an investment can fall as well as rise.

We are not licensed to give investment advice and none is given here. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any product, or to bank with anyone in particular. For a decision that matters, talk to a registered adviser who knows your position.

Tax is not modelled

The optional TDS estimate in the deposit calculators applies a flat rate above a threshold you set. It is a rough guide and nothing more. Your actual liability depends on your total income, your slab, exemptions and declarations, and the rules in force for that assessment year.

Similarly, invoices and quotes produced here are documents, not tax filings. Whether a given invoice satisfies GST or any other regime is for you or your accountant to determine.

Documents and generated output

Invoices, quotes, QR codes, passwords and images you produce are yours to use. We make no claim that any of it meets a legal, regulatory or contractual requirement in your jurisdiction. Business names suggested by the generator are not checked against any trademark or company register — do that separately before you use one.

Because file processing happens entirely in your browser, we never receive a copy of anything you put in. That is the point, and it also means we cannot recover what you lose. Keep your originals.

Availability and accuracy

The site is provided as-is. We correct errors when we find them and when they are reported, but we do not warrant that any tool is free of them, that it will be available, or that content is current. Conventions and rates change; a page may not have caught up.

If a figure here disagrees with a figure you trust, we want to know. Write to hello@velra.tech with the inputs and both results.

This site carries third-party advertising, and ads are not endorsements. We do not select individual advertisers, we do not vet what they offer, and their presence here is not a recommendation. Financial promotions in particular deserve your own scrutiny.

The same applies to links out. We link to sources and services we found useful, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.

Where this sits

This page explains the limits of what the tools tell you. The terms govern your use of the site, and the privacy policy covers what we collect. Where they overlap, they are meant to agree; if they appear not to, the terms govern.
