Velra FAQ
Quick answers to the most common questions about Velra — a cozy idle supermarket game that runs entirely in your browser, completely free, with no account required.
Is Velra free to play?
Yes — Velra is completely free to play in any modern browser, with no download or payment required. The game is supported by optional rewarded video ads that you can choose to watch for a temporary boost, and by standard display advertising. Watching an ad is always your choice; you are never forced to view one to continue playing.
Do I need an account to play?
No account is required. Velra saves your progress automatically in your browser using local storage — you can jump straight into the game without signing up, providing an email address, or creating a password. If you clear your browser data you will lose your local save, so consider noting your progress before doing so.
Does Velra work on mobile?
Yes. Velra is designed to work comfortably on smartphones, tablets, and desktops alike. On touch devices, you tap to walk, tap ripe stations to harvest, tap shelves to stock them, and tap customers at the register to ring them up — everything is within comfortable thumb reach. The layout adapts to narrow screens automatically, so no pinch-zooming is needed.
How do saves and offline earnings work?
Velra saves your progress to your browser's local storage automatically as you play — there is no manual save button to press. When you close the tab and come back, the game calculates how much your mart earned while you were away and awards the offline earnings in one lump sum. The amount depends on how well-staffed your mart is: hired Cashiers, Stockers, and a Gardener all continue working while you are offline, so investing in staff before you leave is the best way to maximise your idle income.
What are the ads for, and are they ever forced?
Velra offers four optional rewarded video ads — Double Profit (2× income for 60 minutes), Rush Hour (2× customer rate for 30 minutes), Fast Restock (2× stocker speed for 30 minutes), and Greenhouse (2× produce speed for 30 minutes). Each one is activated only when you tap the corresponding boost button and choose to watch; the game never interrupts or forces an ad on you. Standard display ads may also appear on the site to help keep Velra free.
The four rewarded boosts in detail:
- Double Profit — every sale earns twice as much for 60 minutes.
- Rush Hour — customers arrive twice as fast for 30 minutes.
- Fast Restock — Stockers move stock twice as fast for 30 minutes.
- Greenhouse — all produce grows twice as fast for 30 minutes.
Each boost has a five-minute re-watch cooldown while active, so you can extend the effect once per session. Boosts stack: running Double Profit alongside Rush Hour at the same time is particularly effective for rapid cash accumulation.
Is my data safe? What information does Velra collect?
Velra stores your save data locally in your own browser and does not transmit it to any server. The site uses Google AdSense for advertising, which may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads. Full details of what is collected and how it is used are set out in the Velra Privacy Policy. You can review or revoke consent at any time via the Privacy and cookie settings link in the site footer.
How do I reset my progress?
You can wipe your save and start fresh from the home page footer: scroll to the bottom of velra.tech and click the Reset local data link. A confirmation prompt will appear before anything is deleted, so you cannot accidentally erase your progress. Once confirmed, the local save is cleared and the game starts from scratch the next time you open the mart.
Can I play across multiple devices?
At present, Velra saves to the local storage of whichever browser and device you are using. There is no automatic cross-device sync, so your progress on a laptop will not carry over to your phone unless you manually transfer or export a save. This is something the team is aware of and may explore in a future update.
Which browsers are supported?
Velra runs in any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge are all supported. The game uses standard web technologies and requires JavaScript to be enabled. Older browsers (Internet Explorer, for example) are not supported. If you run into display issues, updating to the latest version of your browser usually resolves them.
I found a bug or have a suggestion — how do I get in touch?
The best way to reach the Velra team is by email: privacy@velra.tech. Bug reports with a short description of what happened and which browser you were using are most helpful. Feature suggestions are always welcome too.
